With water at the heart of its activities, CWAG values and respects water’s fundamental importance to life, the general environment and the local economy for current and future generations. Within our all-volunteer organization, democracy, broad participation, cooperation, diversity of views and expertise, mutual respect, sharing of enthusiasm, and attempts at consensus are highly valued.
As an education-minded organization trying to make a difference in the community, our integrity and credibility are critical. Expert opinion on mission-related information is essential and is sought within and outside of the organization.
CWAG uses the best available science to educate citizens and to influence governmental decision-making by identifying sensible courses of action. Our public activities include the annual Candidate Forum and monthly Op-Ed columns and Saturday educational meetings. Our website presents our positions on all major water issues. We encourage you to sign up for our weekly calendar and periodic informative emails and to become a CWAG member.
